EDmarket —A Community of Industry Leaders Charting the Path for Students and Educators

Did you know that EDmarket is a 501(c)6 nonprofit trade association? If you look up the definition of an association, it is a group of people organized for a joint purpose. What is our joint purpose? We are focused on bringing our members and the education industry thought leadership and current information around how technology, pedagogy and space are impacting teaching and learning.

We achieve this purpose only through the engagement and expertise of our members. EDmarket is a unique community composed of individuals who are employed by manufacturers, distributor/dealers, Architect & Design firms, education institutions, and consultants.

The timely resources provided help our industry make important decisions impacting education facility design and construction and the products and services required to accomplish the goals of the learning institutions.

The timely resources provided help our industry make important decisions impacting education facility design and construction and the products and services required to accomplish the goals of the learning institutions. Although most of EDmarket’s memberships are corporate, the actual participants are individual employees who are pursuing business and career growth. While our core members are focused on designing, manufacturing, and selling important new products, school and college administrators, education studio designers and architects, and edtech companies comprise three growing segments of membership adding important perspectives and voices to the conversation. School planners need to envision and build excellent facilities while specifying and purchasing products that will enable the educators to impart the skills and knowledge necessary for students to compete in an unpredictable future.

EDmarket facilitates bringing this community together throughout the year with EDsmarts virtual learning sessions, Board and Council meetings and other special events such as the Bold Women initiatives, the Leadership Summit, the EDmarketplace Purchasing Consortium, and at EDspaces.

We magnify our members’ powerful voice through presentation opportunities, webinars, case studies and published articles in Essentials and EDspaces Insights. We promote our industry innovation through the New Patent Showcase and the opportunity to amplify press releases in Essentials Weekly e-newsletter and on our website. Our industry is incredibly innovative, and we are proud to be the main conduit of groundbreaking thought leadership, new product introduction and creative ideas.

Let us know your needs or, more importantly, how you can contribute to the dynamic industry dialog happening among active EDmarket members.

EDmarket participates in industry consortiums such as Build America’s School Infrastructure Coalition (BASIC) to get the Federal Government to provide resources to help under-served public schools districts modernize and build K-12 public school facilities. We also participate in the National Association of Wholesalers (NAW) as a business coalition following and commenting on the laws and rules from Capitol Hill that may impact our member businesses. This participation utilizes our considerable power in cooperation with many other associations and organization to influence public policy.

We want to hear from you. Let us know your needs or, more importantly, how you can contribute to the dynamic industry dialog happening among active EDmarket members. And please , if not done so remit your 2023 dues promptly so that EDmarket can continue the efforts listed above.

If you are not a member of EDmarket please sign up and join our community of industry leaders who are charting the path for students and educators as we explore the intersection of technology, pedagogy and space on learning. We wish you all on wonderful and prosperous 2023.
