NexGen Rising Stars Competition Debuts

Who are the next outstanding leaders in the Education Industry? EDmarket’s new NexGen Rising Stars recognition program shines a spotlight on outstanding young professionals for their passion, creativity, and contributions to how pedagogy, space and technology impact students and teachers.

In its inaugural year, the NexGen Rising Stars program will highlight remarkable young professionals to celebrate. Nominations will be accepted in all EDmarket member categories, Manufacturer, Distributor, Architect & Designer and Education Institution. All departments of an EDmarket corporate or individual membership are eligible for nomination – from R&D to project management to engineering, marketing, sales, etc.

Nominations will be reviewed by representatives from each of the EDmarket Councils and are evaluated based on three pillars: contributions and achievements in their professional role, professional and personal characteristics, and any other extraordinary dynamics such as community involvement, volunteer work, work-life balance, and hobbies. Bonus points will be awarded to any nominees for their active involvement with EDmarket including presenting at EDspaces or contributing to Essentials or EDspaces Insights.

Candidates must be an early- to mid-stage career professional working in the education market. In general, “early- to mid-stage” typically equates to being anywhere from 1 to 10 years in the profession. There are cases where the nominee may fall outside these parameters and ask that the nominator use their best judgment.

They will also be invited to enjoy the annual Leadership Breakfast at EDspaces, November 6 in Charlotte, NC, to network with all current EDmarket board and council members.

We are excited to celebrate the extraordinarily talented young professionals in our industry and build a platform to discover the future leadership of EDmarket.
