The Education Market Association (EDmarket) is proud to announce a renewed vision/mission that reflects the organization’s forward-thinking approach to shaping the future of education. With a sharpened focus on connection, innovation, and student success, EDmarket is strengthening its role in transforming the spaces where learning happens.

New Vision/Mission:
EDmarket empowers a collaborative community of education leaders, dealers, A&D professionals, and manufacturers building connections to innovate and transform learning environments. Through research-based thought leadership, partnerships, and professional development, we drive student success and shape the future of education.
EDmarket envisions a future in which every student thrives in spaces intentionally designed to support their unique needs, spark curiosity, and promote lifelong learning. This vision acknowledges that great learning environments don’t happen by accident — they are the result of collaborative, informed, and inspired efforts.
EDmarket envisions a future in which every student thrives in spaces intentionally designed to support their unique needs, spark curiosity, and promote lifelong learning.
At its core, EDmarket represents the wide variety of stakeholders responsible for transform learning environments. Programs such as the Bold Women Collective and NexGen Rising Stars are helping members build their networks and participate in vibrant conversations about the future.
Through research-informed thought leadership, partnerships, and professional development, such as the EDmarket Certified Learning Place Specialist (ECLPS), EDmarket drives change management and advocates for the importance of the built environment on learning.
This strategic refresh reflects EDmarket’s growing role as a central hub for those committed to designing, furnishing, and supporting educational spaces. It underscores the organization’s commitment to:
- Fostering innovation through cutting-edge events and thought leadership such as curating the 60+ educational sessions at EDspaces and the EDgallery.

- Building bridges between sectors and disciplines to solve challenges collectively by participating in the quarterly Chairman’s Roundtable.
- Providing resources that help members stay ahead of educational trends and best practices by publishing Essentials quarterly magazine and Essentials Weekly, and by producing EDchats, EDsmarts and Podcasts to foster educational discussions.
“EDmarket is where connection meets purpose,” said Darlene Akers, Chair of EDmarket Board of Directors. “Our new vision/mission isn’t just aspirational, it reflects the real impact our association makes every day in helping members create environments where students can thrive.”
