Michael Nieminen is a Partner at Kliment Halsband Architects in NYC, with over 40 years of experience as a designer, programmer, and manager of building projects for educational and cultural clients. His innovative analytical programming and planning techniques focus on intense utilization of existing space, shared space, and flexible space use strategies. He has completed buildings at Yale University, Princeton University, University of Chicago, Rockefeller University, University of Kentucky, University of Massachusetts Amherst and multiple buildings on various campuses of the State University of New York. Michael is the 2021 Chair of the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education.
