Jay Litman AIA, Litman Architecture/Educational Consulting Group, LLC

Jay’s professional experience has focused primarily on the planning and design of PreK-12 educational facilities, College and University facilities, campus planning, public libraries, and team designs for the workplace. He is deeply involved in the emerging theories of project-based, collaborative teaching and learning that is reshaping the language of modern school design. Throughout Jay’s 45-year career, he has advocated a workshop-driven approach for the design of new schools and school campuses both in the United States and internationally. Jay has been a principal and then partner with Fielding (Nair) International for the past 17 years. Beginning in April 2023, Jay established the Litman Architecture/Educational Consulting Group to tackle the many facets of changes necessary to continue the global momentum of school reform. He remains a Partner Emeritus with Fielding International and has also recently joined his former partner Prakash Nair as a principal architect at his new firm Education Design International.
