Serena is an Associate Partner at PBDW Architects in New York City. For over 25 years, she has focused her career on designing innovative educational environments, often in historic contexts. Her people-centered approach to design delivers cheerful, welcoming learning spaces with enduring quality. With experience in master planning, architectural design of new buildings as well as complex, multi-phase renovations and adaptive reuse projects, she has demonstrable expertise in working with a diverse range of institutions. Serena's commitment to sustainability is evident in her work which includes a net-zero energy building and the first K-12 school to be LEED-certified in New York State.
